So here is the story, someone spilled coffee on the wall at my office recently and believe it or not, the stain doesn’t come off. Then i was casually assign by my boss (most likely because i sat the nearest to the wall) to do a cover up of the spillage. The brief was to draw a life-size figure puking using only coffee as paint.
So here it is, with the help of my colleagues i did a life-size self portrait stencil and painted it with a brush and a cup of hot coffee. I dramatize the effect of puking by extending the neck connecting to the other side of the pillar. Turns out pretty decent and what did i learn? If you secretly despise a person, have a coffee at the person’s house and purposely spill coffee on their wall.
Very first edition of OMFG! t-shirt is out. Design by yours truly in collaboration with Zouk KL and comes with a nice pizza box packaging. Its part of the Barsonic series that was launch in Urbanscapes recently. Design is based on all the song titles that features on the night with an expression of a girl overlaying it. Somehow im feeling excited for this. Maybe for the past few ones been clashing with shitloads of major events. This coming one gonna be more concentrated… 100%. I had to finish the flyer in 1 hr because i forgot to bring home my notebook’s power supply adapter, the one you looking at above. This time around, i will be partnering my PIC GG for Infekted. Turning up a notch and goin on to full blast. It’s gonna be a blend of different styles of music and i would call it Hard-NuStyle. The previous design i did for Infekted was based on “The Godfather” mix with their iconic gas mask of course, and this time around with the title “Vengeance” i thought it would be sweet to have Clockwork Orange. It has this evil/sweet revenge yet innocence feel in this character in the movie that i really dig. Have yet to get my fedora hat though. See you on the dancefloor! More info here.
This little yet perfectly formed wonder of a monthly night has seen some seriously awesome parties. The crowd? Advertising and creative industry heads mingle with barsonic faithful. The vibe?
